Daniel Callen is a filmmaker, photographer, and visual storyteller with a background in food, farming, and the arts. His work focuses on craft, community, and the stories behind how and why we make things, whether through bread, film, or photography.

In 2016, Daniel founded Daniel C Films, producing short films, interviews, and visual content across food, events, wildlife, equestrian, fashion, and lifestyle. He works with chefs, farmers, producers, brands, and creatives to bring projects to life through strong visual narrative and a clear sense of place. His photography has been featured in The New York Times, Tatler, British GQ, The Telegraph, and Country & Town House.

Daniel is also a trained drone pilot and frequently incorporates aerial footage into his work. In 2024, he photographed Recipes from a London Kitchen by Cathy Gayner, published in support of charities for both young and elderly people.

Alongside his filmmaking, Daniel has a long-standing connection with Ballymaloe Cookery School, where he helped establish the Ballymaloe Bread Shed. He occasionally teaches traditional breads and sourdough, combining hands-on food education with a creative approach to storytelling.
